Pambazuka Africa - Project Details
Pambazuka Africa -
Healthcare:
Caregiver seminars take place at central locations in rural communities, and focus on providing preventative health care education to families of people with disabilities. The seminars also give us an opportunities to assess the immediate and ongoing needs of people in the community with disabilities.  Attendees have opportunities to network with each other, and celebrate at an event focused on those with special needs in the communities.

Rehabilitation:
We are providing financial and practical assistance towards purchasing equipment to promote independence among people with disabilities, such as prosthetic limbs, braces, and wheelchairs.

Special Education:
Pambazuka Africa provides opportunities for education to children in rural areas of Tanzania who are not able to attend local schools due to their cognitive and/or physical limitations. The Qurus Special Education Center opened in 2010 in the village of Qurus in the Karatu district, and the Pambazuka Special Education Center opened in 2012 in the town of Mto wa Mbu.
